here is what ya need to do with those make em cf
1.paint a peice of lexan grey/silverish
2. let dry
3.place your wire pannle on it and spray with a black
4.let dry
5. install on crawler
6. beat the **** out of it

They give it a great, realistic effect. (1:1 Rock crawlers use mesh just like that, for visibility & lighter weight.)
Leave 'em just like they are!

Maybe, put clear lexan over the side panels, & put scale sponsor stickers on it... That is all I'd do differently though.

try painting em and they will look better now they don't really stand out. almost like haveing an all flatblack rig
