Default ?'s about things

ok i sold a tube chassis to a member about 3 months ago.now he is sending me pm's about the quality work. told him before and after he bought it that it was cheap like $60-$70 with skid, body panels, and links for tlt axles. real cheap i say.anyway now he is wanting me to build him another one for free like the hustler. what should i do? any help and comments would be very helpful.

heres a pic of it.

exept it was green when he got it.

worth $60 i think as well as he did when he bought it. after 3 months then the complaining starts.

should i build him another one? especially since he is already complaining about my work.

thanks evryone.

IMO nope, your tube work looks good. Plus $60 for a good looking tube frame is very cheap IMO. Though I'll wait for a better member to chime in ^_^

I think three months a little too late to be complaining . In this sport things get abused . If it would have broken right out of the gate that would be different. Maybe find out what problems he had and then try and improve in those areas. When i first started building tops i was having trouble with the mounting screws coming loose. I just started doing the mounts in a different way.

tell him to deal with it. he bought it as is with the condition known. if he had said something right away when he got it that would be one thing but he didnt. i mean he had to know for $60 that he wasnt getting anything of huge quality although from the pics that you have had from when you built it it looked good. tell him to fawk off

He has no right to request anything from you especially this late in the game. Don't even waste your time communicating with him since he only wants a freebee now.

I totaly agree! Sounds like you informed the buyer of what he was getting. They knew what they were getting into.

I would maybe offer suggestions on how to fix it. Like if a weld broke maybe try to explain how you would deal with it.......

Maybe not if he is being a douche bag about it.

just my .05 $

that thing is crap.... you should build him two just to make up for it. actually, just buy him a genuine hustler... that should make up for all that you have done to him!

No, you dont owe him anything. Just link him to this thread, and place him on your ignore list.

I would ask you to post up his name, so that I dont make the mistake of ever selling anything to him, but that wouldn't be right.

Who ever it is they need to grow a pair and step up.

From what I have seen of your work it is an excellent base to start with. Most anything that you buy in this hobby requires a little modification. If you can't handle that then you my friend should post up the bones and buy one of those axial turds........

Edit: One more thing I think 60$ for that chassis is a steal. The time and skill used to build it alone would equal more than 60$
