Default HELP broken cv axle

ok heres the scoop i broke a front right cv axle on my 94 silverado with 35"s i know i have to take apart the front end but what all do i need to take of i have no clue what to do i never had a indy 4wd truck always straight axle if some one can help me in good detail i would be very happy i actually puked after it broke ive only hade the friggan truck for a day or so:-(

One word of advice above anything else. If you remove the broken CV shaft, put the stub back in because it is what holds your unit bearing assembly together. Without the stub you'll go 50ft and the wheel will fall off. Ask me how I know.

pull all the **** off the outside till you get to the broke part. it shouldnt be that hard if you aint got rocks in your noggin.

Another helpful tidbit. When you have the bolts removed from the backside of the unit bearing, get the BFH and tap it on alternating sides. It's somewhat of a press fit and the bolts just jeep it there. Takes some work to get it out of the knuckle, especially if you've never removed one before. Or I guess you could take the knuckle loose at a balljoint to get the shaft out. I don't remember, plus my experience was with s-series, but it's all the same just bigger on a foolsize. But like everyone said, solid axle is the real answer, haha.
