| Newbie from GA!
Hey guys! I've been in to 4wd's since a kid (full size ones) and now I'm interested in an RC! Found this site today, looks like a ton of great reading material! Looks like I'll be up most the night! I'm looking for an RC crawler budget build. Any info or links of where to start would be great! Thanks, Wes |

Thanks! Well, don't know yet. My main concern is cost. I'm going to try and keep it cheap right now due to the fact I'm a student. I'm really leaning towards the AX10. Seems like a stout rig and cost is pretty low when all said and done. I do love the scaler look though. maybe I can combine both! | |

That's kinda what I did, its not that scale looking but... mine is a tlt $100 K2-3l chassis $45 Traxxas links$50 Pede tranny$40 Axial beadlocks$45 Moabs$30 So not too much money and I put a bushwacker body on it(toyota landcruiser copy) for $20 and then have just built bumpers and a roof rack etc. To make it more scale! |

X2^...In high school a buddy of mine had a red FJ40 that had 33" buckshots on it and the damn thing never got stuck! All we have is mud (when I lived in Mississippi). It was the coolest rig out of all of ours! Mine is a Yellow 77CJ5, but I got stuck some, he never did! Just saying that htat Cruiser u have is awesome! Enjoy this site, lots here!

Yeah man, definitely try to make it out to a GTG at some point. Saw you said you were a student somewhere, do you go to UGA? Liking the FJ, have you had it offroad yet? |

| Yeah, I'm a senior at UGA. Should have graduated like 4 years ago though! I've only had the FJ for about 2 months so no, not been offroad yet. Planning on doing some when I get the kinks worked out. Just put the lift and all on about 3 weeks ago. Still needs a few things.

You can build a pretty capable WK rig. with the bushwacker body the tires will stick out a little though. My brother and I both have the same set up with out WK they are very capable, I believe my brother has about $450 into his truck and I have like $380 into mine. Mainly cause my tires, wheels, and servo mount was given to me. I would suggest the WK if your new to the hobby, its a good starter truck and with even more work later on down the line it can be a very nice truck.
