I don't think anyone thinks you need to water proof a motor. you do now people break motor in my dipping them in a cup of water and letting them run don't you?

I think those exposed wires are more of a hazzard. I would like to see those arc together more then the water dip.

Ending this now... before there is anymore flaming:roll:... and I start handing out infractions like its my job  You all have been warned....

with that said, running the motor in water wont kill it... people break motors in that way, because it acts as an abrasive and helps seat the brushes...however long term repeated use will eventually cause things to wear. I also highly recommend cleaning the motor out motor cleaner, then re-oiling the bearings.
