| Mtn Bike opinions
Wife just pulled her mtn bike out of the attic. We used to ride together all the time...then my bike was stolen. So...she goes to the bike shop to get new tubes/tires for hers. While I was there I started looking for a new bike to go riding with her. I'm ~6'-1" so I needed a bike that felt good, not cramped on it. Found a XL Cannondale Caffeine 29'er. Took it for a spin...rode great. I know there are a few mtn bike guys on here...opinons on this bike? I last rode in '98. |

Hey Jason, i had a caffine29er, I same height as you, 29ers ride great . the caffine's cockpit are seems a bit cramped for me, (i bought an XL frame) but it wasn't to cramped to the point where it was uncomfortable to ride for 2 plus hours. If your set on a caffine 29er i would wait for the 08's , they are suppose to make the top tubes a little longer on all sizes. If your not gonna get to hardcore with riding( not sure how serious you get with riding LOL). you could pickup a ironhorse hardtail for less than a grand.

Can't go wrong with a Cannondale. I have a Giant Trance 2 and it rides great. It's a 20" frame and I'm 6'-3", fits me perfect. The rear suspension rides great and at times seems like a hardtail. I've owned two Cannondales, Trek, Specialized and two Gary Fishers.
