Good BL Monster Bashing Truck??? 1/8 Maybe?
 

I was looking for a good monster bashing truck. I know the E-Maxx is a great truck but I was always breaking stuff on it, (bulkheads, shock towers, shocks). I just have bad luck with E-maxx's. I know Clod's have been used for racing. And I also wanted to only go 2WD but have the capability to go 4WD if I wanted too. I also want to go brushless maybe something like a 9 or 10XL with a Mamba Max, RWD only.

I was really looking into the G-Made Dragon. It's just like a Clod and feel the chassis is really beefy and would hold up better than a Clod.

Do you think a Clod/G-Made axles can handle brushless power?

Anyone have opinions or recommendations between a Clod, G-Made Dragon, or TXT-1?

I think a Dragon might just hold up best.

I would just get a Stampede. Traxxas makes it. They are pretty strong had mine since January and have only broke a servo horn and striped one spur. Mine is brushless and I love it. Very fast truck.

I have 3 pede's already and 1 rustler, all brushless. I was hoping for something bigger but only 2WD. I like the setups from FIneDesignRC, but the only monster trucks they have are Losi setups. The size of the LST2 and Aftershock are what I'm looking for.

A Clod or Dragon should be able to hold up to 3-4' jumps? Maybe 6-7' ocassionally?

I tried with my TXT-1 when I first got it and I stripped the holes to the top link mounts on the axles after a couple of jumps.

I converted my lst to electric and its been great so far.

Do you like any other monster trucks like the revo or savage?

I had a BL Gorrillamaxx Revo conversion, and I've been kicking myself for selling it on Ebay. Then I tried the E-Maxx, but it kept breaking it and I didn't like the 2 battery setup. That was the only thing I didn't like on the gorillamaxx either.

I just wanna due one 11.1V or 14.8V lipo.

Does anyone here have an G-Made Dragon? I really wanna know how durable it is.

I have a few TXTs that have E-Maxx trrannies and I love them! But really it's more for their look than performance. Don't get me wrong, with the emaxx tranny, titans, evx, and dual batts the trucks are fast, but it took some modding to get there(revo shafts, jato rod ends, hd steering arms, etc.) and it isn't the most stable chassis for high speed. I know it can't take the kinda of abuse I used to give to my savage but I takes jumps pretty well. I've never had a problem with the top link post (I do have alum braces) but I know a lot of people have. And I have stripped the stock rod ends and bent the stock links. Just my opinion on the TXT.

ive seen t-maxes jump, flip 6 or 7 times. land hard on the roof, get flipped over, and keep going

Txt..if you want nitro definately go with a Jato 3.3

Txt-1 I have one when I first got it I ran it completely stock just with the diff's locked. looks sweet and is awesome on sand and mud hills."thumbsup"

I had a brushless E-maxx and I loved the power but it handled like total crap and even the aluminum upgrades would stretch upon very minor impacts and the whole truck would get weak and I decided to sell it. I had a TXT-1 and thaught it pretty much sucked(too high CG). 1/8 Truggys handle pretty well and are tough as hell.

His broke on the first jump because it smashed the fuel tank. But mine lasted all the way through. I got a lot of hop ups on mine though. But still they are very tough and dont break a lot.

I would just convert either a Aftershock or a LST2 to brushless and be done with it. I have a aftershock for sale.

What about a Wheely King? just lock the rear diff and put a low turn motor like a 17 turn (change the esc)... mabye stretch it and its a great bashing truck... JMO
