No, you can turn off windows messaging service in XP. While you're at it, you might want someone to make sure your computer isn't pwnd.

Viruses like to hide in the google program files making them harder to find and a hassle, also delete limewire. You can get every virus possible from that program. You could have done a system restore to the point before you installed sketchup.

I had 3-4 years of good luck with Limewire, then got a bomb that killed my machine. I ran every single thing possible to get rid of the virus I got, with no luck, and ended up starting fresh with a new OS. I do sometimes re-download LW to run a search for a program I want, and I either don't find a reputable version of it, or I do, download what I want, then get rid of LW again. I only use it now as a one-stop kinda thing, then get rid of it. I get my porn from other free sources, and download my music for $.09/song ................so no need to keep that virus breeder on my machine. It only takes one mistake to prove that it simply isn't worth the hassle. |
