sketch up help
 

I got bored today and wanted to make some tubers in sketch up. I am relatively new to the program so i only know the basics. i am having trouble bending cylinders/ rods. So if anyone can help me out with this i would be so grateful

What does your drawing oard look like? is it like this? thats how mine is but im trying to find out if i can get a plain white background or not.
