Default ULTIMATE barn find

I am sure you guys have all heard of people finding a nice old car in a barn and getting it for cheap, well I got this in an e-mail, and it is the ultimate barn find. If you don't want to read the story, just click the link below to go right to the pictures.

What's in your barn?
A New York man retired, wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it
would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal. The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 yrs.; the owner and wife
both had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to
see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway......so, nobody made an offer on the place.

The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved
in, and set about to tear in to the barn......curiosity was killing him.So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of
grinders......and cut thru the welds. What was in the barn...............? Go to; http://www.intuh.net/barnfinds/afa70.htm
and start wishing it had been you who bought the place.

When you get to the website keep clicking on "next", you will not believe
what a treasure is here!!!!

And false story. It is simply a personal collection. The "great find" story is made up.

The worst part of this story is that, by looking at the pictures, there are windows on the barn sides, and some sort of opening between the gable ends and roof structure. Anyone with an extension ladder could look in and see what was inside. No huge "extra expense" would have to be made.

Although the Snopes "find a barn/warehouse full of cars" fantasy struck me as ironic. I always did have a dream of stumbling across a proposed empty warehouse that I purchase cheap, only to find it as a mysterical forgotten "holding" warehouse for Ford in 1969. To my great surprise, the place is filled with new Stangs, Rancheros, and Broncs!

I hadn't realized that this was a common fantasy amongst so many in this world!

Man, some of you guys are real dicks? This is the chit chat section right? It's not like he posted this in tech or anything.

BTW. Who gives a damn about post count? Is that the measure of a man around here or something? I think you guys you should consider how much a member has contributed to the board rather than the times he has posted "wow, nice rig" I have over 500 posts and I am definately still a newb....but that still doesn't keep me from posting in the chit chat section right?

I actually had not seen this post before so I actually enjoyed it true or not. It is OK to dream right!

That, my friend, is possibly one of the most accurate statements ever posted.

It's funny how a select few seem to think their high post count earns them the respect of the rest of the board, and gives them the right to be an internet-bully. Maybe they got picked on in school or something . Like it was pointed out above >>>> "Web Wheelers"

Here is a story for you. I heard it second hand from my Powder Coater.

He had a friend of his buy a motorcycle from a garage sale for $2500. The bike had nothing showing anything about it. so he tried to run the serial number and nothing. Then about 3 weeks later Harley Davidson calls and offers him $500,000 for it. He first asked how they got his number, they explained about the serial number search he had ran. Then he asked what made this bike so special. They said you know the EP at the end of the serial number... yeah.. well that means Elvis Presley and he (EP) only had so many of them made. My coater told me that he didn't take and and told them.. "If your willing to pay that much now, I bet you'll pay more in a couple more years" "give me a call in a couple years".

I asked the coater what had happened or if he sold it. He said he didn't know as he hasn't spoke to him in quite a while. But said he saw the bike and the serial number with the EP at the end.
