Nitro Crawler?????? Hey all, Have read on hear that nitros ain't good for crawling. So, whats up with this? http://cgi.ebay.com/Rc-nitro-rock-cr...QQcmdZViewItem Its geared down pretty good, 120:1, but still? Would this be any good or just something unique to take it easy on? I think it is cool anyway. rash |
Hold your nitro with the front wheels facing straight up, and try to make it run at idle that way for five minutes. Then get back to us on how awesome nitro crawlers are  |

Where in this sport does "take it easy" ever fit in? If you think it is cool, buy it. Crawl it, take videos of you doing so. Me... I will stick with electric. |
if your on your side and no fuel is getting to motor u lose lol |

But yeah type nitro crawler into the search. There have only been a couple good succesful ones. But even still they are nothing compared to what you can build going electric and it will cost a lot more money in fuel, parts, youll break stuff easier, etc. |
what everyone is trying to say is electric is more reliable(sp?) and suits the crawler better |

No tech threads belong in Chit Chat. |
It is a cool rig but it wont last. There is no cooling system in place, the fuel tank will not let the engine run at extreme angles. Gearing alone will not let a nitro crawl. There is a bunch more to make one go. Like a good clutch, as a stock or aftermarket one will fry when you try to put the power to it. As far as I am concerned is that a "Stock Nitro" chassis truck will not make the cut. It will have to be a custom built one off and yes they are not cheap to do. I will have one built someday"thumbsup" |
youve got a start on one you just havent done a whole lot to it for a while. nitro crawlers can crawl but you have to have a DEEP wallet to get the right to stuff to make it work |
