Default My at-home rock garden...

Basically the creek beside the house with alot of rocks lining it. Just dumped some more on Thursday, one of which is about 1/2 the size of a VW Bug.

Here are some pics, whatcha think?

More pics here: http://www.rockdustfab.com/gallery/RC-Crawler

Thanks, yea I narrowed them and took another set of tires to make them 2.2's. I am thinking of narrowing them more, but I think I am going to get some beadlocks first and go from there. The hexes are spinning in these wheels, so I put a bunch of epoxy around the hexes to hopefully keep them from spinning. Seems to have worked on 3 of the wheels, but it keeps chipping off on the 4th...

WOW very nice rockpile. You could run a super there and not get bored.
I glue washers around my hexes and have never spun one. I would take a wheel to Lowe's and get a washer that just fits around the hex and epoxy it to the wheel. Works great and is dirt cheap.

I also use my landscaping for crawling. One weekend I filled the box of my Chevy 2500 with rocks from the mountains so I had something to crawl on.

I'd love to do that but my wife is a talented gardener and her brother is a landscaper (he's the muscle). Unfortunately a well placed pile of rocks for Storm to crawl on is out of the question. The good news is the yard and gardens are very nice, LOL

My dad is big on landscaping too (well, I guess my mom helps that out alot...), but they both like rocks too. This load that was just dumped I have kind of arranged into a little course. Not a BIG course by itself, but with it and all the other stuff, there is always plenty to drive on. One hill in particular we call "Full Throttle". It is actually the last pic I have linked to above. Gotta hit is full speed and if you can get the front tires over, you MIGHT make it up. The little ridge at the bottom of it makes for little traction, and the dirt doesn't help much either.

I epoxied washers around the hexes on my wheels today, helped alot and haven't slipped a hex yet.

If I keep having problems I might break down and get som RC4wd beadlocks...

No you got it all wrong, see needs a water fall made with big rocks but "those dam teenagers" keep putting dish soap in it so you have to leave it dry

Was helping a guy clean out a warehouse one time, there were some stickers for gas/diesel pumps. I have a few of the 87/93 octane stickers, wish I had some that said 110 octane

Good find! 7/11s, beware, I am on the prowl! A 110 octane would be sweet. I went to some 1:1 top fuel hydro boat races not too long ago, and let's just say that when the engines switch over to the nitro, it makes you cry in ways other than sentimental. Makes you cough like a smoker, too.
