| need help finding an axle
I have a project in the works now and need some input on an axle. It needs to be about 9" wide and be able to handle X factor tires/wheels(only one axle). I have thought about TLT but those wouldn't handle the tires. And it needs to handle a direct driven motor(12-15T). I have thought about WK, but would that handle it? Or is there another option?

| Standard maxx size, I'm guessing 5.5-6". The ratio thing is ok, I'm looking for wheel speed, lots of it.

it doesnt sound like a crawler to me soooo why not use a pan car style axle. Build it out of steel and it will handle as much power as you want.

Try narrowing some twin axles, or the rc4wd T-rex 60s.

with a 12-15t motor. id say maxx also. with tlt you would strip the inards pretty fast, same with WK and ax-10, maybe look into x factor axles..

I have a Lathe here, so making a custom one off axle is pretty doable for me, just need to find an R+P that will handle it. Last edited by '83 chevy; 09-10-2007 at 05:50 PM. | |
