| PC Gurus: Accurate Internet Test Speed?
Finally traced down a weak internet (cable) connection problem I have been having, to the point where I completely lost internet on Sunday, down to a bad splitter, and got the connection working properly again. **sidenote, after buying a new cable modem of course*** Anywho, I think my speed have been suffering for awhile, because now it is like a whole new internet!!! Pages are loading twice as quickly it seems! For for sh1ts and giggles, I ran a various internet speed tests that I googled. The first couple came back around 7-7.5 mkbs dl...............but then the results went all over the place. I have seen results from 4-14 mbks dl. Obviously, distance has an effect, but are there tests out there that have been proven to be better than others? Is there a particular speed tester that you use? |

| speedtest.net was the first test I ran. I have run three different tests there, and have ranged from 7400-9100 kbs. |

Try the link I posted, it seems consistant. Make sure you select the right country and coast though.
