youll be learnin alot about the turbo system on that car.. some guys are "cheatin " the computer and welding the waste gate shut and running a granger valve to push upwards of 20lbs. that should be a t3/t4 combo turbo under there, since it has been sittin gso long, be sure to check the oil line unning to the turbo... that is the first thing to blow. that will ruin your day! not to mention your car! at a bear minimum, install a different blow off valve.. the stock one sucks! its a little plastic tube with a spring in it... my 88cs's is blown and that is only pushin like 7lbs of boost... stupid blow off valve keeps lettin out all the good stuff!

and anything over 15-16lbs of boost, you either need bigger injectors and such or a 5th fuel injector that is pressure activated... check out http://www.thedodgegarage.com |

I'm jealous, I used to have an '85 Lebaron GTS with the early T1 like yours and the 3 speed auto and the SH2 handling package as well as an '88 Shadow ES with teh later T1 (with the Mitsu turbocharger on the Chrysler motor). I don't know how I managed to keep my liscense with that Lebaron, it was way too easy to go way too fast in that car, even when the floor was half rotted away! There was one time Dad had it out to pick me up at work and when he came into the store I worked at then, he just had this stupid ear to ear grin the whole time he stood there waiting for my shift to finish. Well, he got into with a loud piped and cross flagged mid 90's Impala SS while on his way to get me. He's not too sure how fast they were going (speedo only went to 85mph, then would start wiggling past that), but these guys in the Impala kept looking at him awful funny. Best part was that the car kept trying to overboost, so he was constantly backing out of it the whole time! I'd love to get my hands on one of the Caravan or Voyager's with the 2.5 Turbo, convert it to E85, and crank up the boost!
