Different market over there, if you mentioned a Civic of the same age, it would probably be twice the page count of this thread.

Been there, Done that, no way in hell do I ever want to go back

Try a new O2 sensor and a stock (or non MPP) computer if you've swapped that too. I alway ran Bosch when I had mine, IIRC the O2's for the Blow Through induction were in the $50+ range and I think the Draw Through ones were $25-$30 last time I bought them, but that's been atleast 5 years. The early T1's on the "big" cars were fairly easy and could be accessed from under the hood on the passenger side, but the later style T1 Shadow was a PITA! When Dad swapped that one out we actually had to jack the car up and it was at an odd angle too IIRC:-( Don't know how a later style induction "big" car will be. If you get under there at some point, take a look at the u-joint on the passenger side axle where it goes into the transaxle, those'll wear out after a while, and NAPA makes an HD replacement for it too!

well guys, im pretty pissed, my uncle who told me it was an 88 daytona pacifica, was wrong, turns out its an 87, i took it into the tire shop and the guy said that i was wrong when i told him it was an 88, and corrected me and even showed me a book of it and it was the exact same car, so yea, i made an a** out of myself because i was given wrong information, so if anyone has some know how and links on an 87 pacifica, let me know :(

The links..umm..link I posted should be of help there. I knew by looking at it that it should have been an '87 because of the induction system, since that was last used in '87. You're actually better off not having an '88 Turbo 1 too, in '88 they went to the smaller Mitsubishi turbocharger, milder roller cam, lighter weight pistons and rods that aren't really as strong as the '84-'87 T1, '88-'92 (I think) 2.5T, any of the T2/3/4, and the Maserati built motors (Yes Maserati had a version of the Chrysler 2.2!) The only saving grace for the '88 T1's in my opinion are that they have the blow through indution, which is easier to intercool, and the cam is not only a roller style but it's still more agressive than the ones that followed!

Some of the engine and drivetrain parts should interchange and all of the suspension and interior parts probably will. You could literally take the entire suspension, drivetrain, and related electronics out of your Daytona and put it on an '81 Aries wagon with little to no fabrication!

Make sure you put a 12v computer fan on the fenderwell computer then, the computer uses the air being sucked into the motor to help keep it cool too. Otherwise you run the risk of cooking it, especially in the Texas heat! WHat kind of tires did you get for the car? Boht of mine had S-rated cheapies when I got them and I discovered that going to an H-Rated or better tire was one of the best things to do for the cars handling.
