Man, the stuff you'll find on this site!!!

I had an '85 Omni GLH (2.2 turbo w/ 146hp and 170 lb/ft). It was wrote off in an rear-end accident (not my fault) back in 1994 but I still haven't gotten over it yet!!

All stock - 5 sp , 2.2 turbo, 15 pizza wheels, 2" SS exhaust, air dams etc etc. Certainly not a refined vehicle but damn it was fun to drive. With 195/50 s and a super stiff suspension, I used to say it stuck to the road like a train on tracks. Whan the turbo spooled up to its whine (sounded like a cop car) you could certainly feel it in your pants.

Thanks for bringing back some memories,

Sean

Just take the belt off of it and see what you think of the difference, I noticed a wee bit of difference in the way the motor in my Lebaron revved but that was it, the Shadow already had the belt removed when I bought it. It did screw something up on my Shadow when Dad and I pulled the compressor and related hoses, but I don't remember what now since it's been to long.........

Funny that you mention the cop car thing, I almost pulled over a couple times the first week I had the Lebaron thinking there was a cop on the way to an emergency, then later Mom and I were on the way home from the store we both worked in around New Year's '96 and she though the same Damn I miss that car

Oh man that motor brings back memories! I had a 2.5 in a shadow on a hybrid turbo. It's best was 12.4's 1/4 mi. Flat black 4 door, total sleeper hehehe!
She went lean on me at 22lbs of boost and that was the end of that motor. I still have that car and a fresh motor for it I just lost interest.
Yours looks really nice and clean.
