I was hoping someone would catch on quicker, but I'll finish the story. We're in the process of moving to Arizona. We left Georgia on Tuesday, and are now holed up in Marshall, TX. I posted a very similar message back in March of 2005 when we moved to Georgia from California. This time we're driving though. 3 kids and two cars isn't too bad, especially when the kids can watch all the DVD's they want. We hope to be in Mesa by Sunday. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up, considering the responses I got last time I did it. I'm so immature. |

Highlights of the trip so far... 100 miles into the trip we lost our cat. She wriggled out of her harness and took off into the woods at the rest stop near Cleburne, AL. Spent 2 hours searching. Yesterday my 6 month old car got a 14" long crack in the windshield, while driving behind a truck on some of the worst roads in the world (Mississippi and Louisiana are tied for first at this point). I heard the ol' "My sister just had surgery, we got a flat, I lost my wallet while changing it, I need money for gas" story while taking a break at a rest stop. Too bad all we carry is plastic.... not. The funny thing is when he was telling me where he had to go, he was pointing back the way we came. Then why's his car on this side of the freeway? |

I'm currently homeless too, but mine is because we sold our old house of 11 years last Wednesday and we move in to the new one Oct 12th. I can't wait for the new one, we spend a load of time in it already, and it is really close to done. |
