Integy 55t lathe motor. Best bet to learn other than hands on. Check the vids you'll see some of the best doing their thing. Best bet is get out there and drive it, nothing beats hands on. You'll heve to get a feel for your crawler. Also check the rules in the Comp forum, you are going to need to know them if you plan on competing. |

I can't say that there really is a wrong way to do it. Someone could build a setup that wouldn't work at all for anyone else but do very well with it. If you're going to do any comps stay in the rules and learn as you go. Just like the 1:1 rigs.. Anything goes within the rules. you can learn the basics here but nothing beats as the above said.. hands on. picked a type you're going to go with? |

The ax-10 is the best choice for a beginner in the fact that it is very easy to put together. The instructions are detailed and parts are separated for each step. Another reason is that the ax-10 is the best performer out of the box. there are very little to no mods needed to make them perform good. Its also a great value. If you factor in all of the things that are included in the kit, you pay way less than trying to scrape a bunch of parts together from different rc cars. good luck man, and welcome
