Who built this rig?

I picked this up for the wife this weekend.

Needs to be rebuilt but it works amazingly well to be so simple. BMV2 type chassis with tube frame and some shocks at each corner.

I saw it and thought it looked hokey at first, but the longer I looked at it the more interested I became.

Then my wife saw it and decided she wanted it.

It needs work (clean/fill/smooth the joints) but it ran just fine until the tranny blew. I've tore it down, saw the internals of the tranny, and tossed the tranny in the trash.

Can anyone give some info as to the history of this thing?

I've seen that rig before, well at least the frame. It had a link setup, gold shocks, and orange beadlock rings. Not sure when it got re-built. I couldn't tell you who made it, but it's pretty cool.

JasonInAugusta 10-15-2007 06:44 AM

I've lost count as well.

Let's see.
1. Campbell Moon Buggy
2. Blue twin of the Campbell Buggy (would make a good Walker Evans buggy)
3. Hydraulic Scorpion
4. 2.2 Suicide Sally
5. 1:18 Suicide Sally
6. Ralph
7. King Bling
8. Beckworks Cobra
9. Mechanical Orange

I think that's it for tubers.

JIA's Dad 10-16-2007 10:25 PM

Speaking of the Beckworks Cobra, did you ever finish that build?

Nice collection. Do you ever sell any of the tubers you purchase or that are given to you? Or do you keep them all. What happen to the Orange Hustler?

2JSC 11-17-2007 08:48 PM

Don't forget he just added another one, Betty.

JasonInAugusta 11-17-2007 09:13 PM

Yeah, sold the Hustler to Racer4Life.

Traded the blue moon buggy and TXT axles to AIPOHAKU for his Betty tuber.

...and I sold Junior ages ago.

Very few tubers leave here.

AIPOHAKU 11-17-2007 10:18 PM

eric113 11-27-2007 07:52 PM
