I'll try. I am still in the parts collecting phase of mine (just misc parts now) but I may not finish in time since its my first crawler, I have a big project in mind, and it takes me a week to get whatever I order.

The rules have been updated. If you already have a project going it has to be 50% or less complete. If you would like to enter an already complete project or somthing you bought it needs to be atleast 50% different. You guys should know what 50% of a truck is and what 50% difference looks like. If you dont then send me a pic of the truck your unsure of and i will decide if its legal to enter. When the end date comes around I will have everybody post their rigs and specs. Then i will ask the RCC community if all the trucks look legal IE: follows all the build of rules. If there a rig that breaks any of the rules it will be automatically dq. |

Example: In a modeling contest, the modeler is not required to build a new model for each contest. If you built it I think you should be able to enter it. The same thing could be said about people that have stock piles of scale parts, couldnt that be considered a unfair advantage for someone who has nothing? Im not sure if this could really be fair, in all reality 1BBB () should be able to compete with his clone or xj. Anywhere else It wouldnt be an isssue. This just shouldnt be an issue, your build is your build after all despite when you did it. Just my .02 cents | |

i dont think its very hard at all. i did my "1.9 Toyota Project" in about 18 days(RTR-but never complete). i work sheetmetal all day and sometimes night too.i have a 2 year old and a fiancee. dont ask me how i did it. i dont know, but i did. this one is gonna be a challenge though.what i want to do should take someone longer than a month though. it'll get done for sure, i always finish no matter what it takes. well its just a build that has been completed and been to Nats is kind of old news to say, build offs to me are to bring all you got and pile it into one amazing rig. i think a complete truck is OK to enter but weve seen the tricks of it already and it is really cool but people are gonna step it up. its definately gonna take me a while because i go to work and school full time and wrench my blazer plus muh lady. i plan on doing another crew cab style where i make as much as i can and not do the cook book crawler. I would say that it is the difference between a contest and a build off. A contest, you enter whatever you have. Like a car show, bring your car to as many events as you want. A build-off you build a entry for that event. I think that it will make the whole thing more interesting for everyone. Again just suggestions I don't really care in the end what you decide. Either way I think it will be a blast to see all the entries at the end. Good luck to all. |

| What's the hurry?
For many people winter is a time of year that we don't crawl, we build. It could be a argument to delay the final date until sometime in February. That would give the time to develop some very highly crafted scalers as well as provide some excitement to the long cold winter. |

Well maybe have one now for the people that are ready and one in the spring if the first one goes well. I think it's a great way to promote the scaler class around the country.
