yeah it is confusing. and IMO the clone is more than welcome but i personally cant think of any other way to make it better, its pretty fuggin sweet man. just build whatever yall suckas want and if it resembles something from bizarro rccrawler then we will all decide to enter not enter it.

Yes i know, thats why i said IMO thats my opinion. And thats why you can use any suspension setup. 1BJB You can enter your truck if you really want to but this is a build off, meaning you have a certain deadline to make a rig. Now if it was a best truck contest or somthing like that then you could have entered with no probs at all.

I know of many 1:1 rigs that have been the have been converted from leafs to coilovers! so how do you get that leafs are more scale, if I was to build a 1.9 scale version of my Jeep TJ it has coils so leafs would NOT be more scale on that build!!

As for suspension, I agree not all vehicles have leafs, 4 link, or whatever.. But obviously a ford f-150 body on a touring car chassis isn't gonna work for the simple fact of the 4 wheel independent suspension.. Some vehicles such as a extremely lifted 90's era chevy truck for instance once had independent front suspension with torsions bars for springs, But to achieve that skyscraper look they have switched to a straight front axle and leafs and lifted the crap out of them.. But you would'nt see it on a stock truck in stock form..Its not hard to figure out what is scale and what is not.. It should make you do a double take to figure out if your looking at the real thing...

[quote=Mikekx65;890429] Build off rules. 5. A leaf sprung suspension will be more scale but you can still use a 4 link setup. that rule says that leafs would be more scale but that isnt true, if your base is a 1:1 rig that has been converted then the style suspension that your build up it based off of is more scale!! I look forward to the build off. I myself won't have anything ready by then, no problem maybe next time.

Okay, I can't resist. I was just about to post up on a rig I started last week, but that's going to be put on hold for this buildoff. I'm starting from the ground up for this competition. Based on the rules as I read them, I'm in. |
