Sounds like a great idea, I'll give it a shot!

Can I use little red truck? It still needs a bunch of work?

Well, I'm still in, I think the date is ok. I'm not sure I will be able to get mine done by then because its a little out of my hands right now but I guess I will just have to see. And I agree that 4 links should be allowed. Just keep in mind a big, dumb, out of proportion shock body doesn't look very scale

I would say that if you are using a project that is already in progress it should have to be less then 50% complete. That way for example someone couldn't enter the Wyatt bronco (just as an example).

Make sense? That would bring more new builds then the same ones we have seen already.

What would you define as 50% complete?

Would need to be 50% different at the end of the build. Would obviously need to be agreed upon at the end of the contest.

I totally agree. I've barely got any styrene glued together and half of these builds are probably pretty much set. I'm going to say no driveline worked out/barely assembled.

Just saying that if someone already has 100 plus hours in their rig it is hardly fair to let them join a contest with a fairly short time line.

So what if it was redesigned?
Trying to figure out how to define this...
Drive line and chassis are easy to throw together when you put 40 hrs of body work in.

Do you think everyone would actually fess up to it anyway?

I think this is to hard to define.

You are very right, it is VERY hard to enforce/determine.

But do you think if 1BJB enters his clone it is fair? It is simply my most favorite rig but look at his time investment. Very hard if not impossible to compete with in a month, don't you agree?

I am just throwing out suggestions, I have no idea if I will get one done or not but just trying to level the playing field for you all.

Good luck to all.

I will have to see if I can dig something up to donate to the winner.
