Default Corr 2 Truck from Thundertech Racing

Well... I finally decided to take the plunge and Pre-Order myself a Corr 2 Racing Truck from Thundertech. I am very excited about it. It looks awesome!!! Does anyone else have one of these trucks coming their way???

For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about here is a link to the beauty:

http://www.thundertechracing.com/desertracer.htm

I am especially excited becuase one of my good friends actually races these types of cars. Not the Corr series but the Score and Best of the Desert series (Like the Baja 1000, 500, Terribles Town, Vegas to Reno, Prim 300 etc...) They are called Speed Technologies for any of you who follow the sport. Let me tell you... there is nothing like going 90+ in a Jimco or Jeffries Class 1 Off-Road. These cars are AMAZING!!! I was actually out riding in one of his Class 10's today (A buggy with 10 seats, 4 banger motor, 20+ inches of travel, 5 speed, 2wd.). I really really wish i had the money to get into that sport!

Anyways.... Any coments on the RC truck?

more than likely 1/10 as its using 1.9 tires. It looks cool, but I think I'd try and build osmething like that myself than spend the $400 on a kit.

Yeah I'm in agreement. It looks good, but for $400 I think I'll pass and try my own hand at one.

Wow I never knew a class 10 had 10 seats, how do they fit them all in there?

I drove the new long wheelbase prototypes (several parts were built from proto plastic) this weekend at iHobby. The rear sways are a little soft right now but the freakin' trucks are a blast.

All the RC Driver editors were invited over to run four of'm...we can't wait to get the production rigs.

The bodies will be styrene and come in packs of two. The idea is for guys to paint'm on the outside and trade paint as we race.

After the RCD editors were done there was, indeed, paint transfer on the bodies - along with tire marks.

I drove the blue truck so hard the tires wouldn't stay on.

Will they be able to handle a moderate brushless setup?

Honestly I don't think they'll need it.

We were running 23 turn motors and they were plenty fun..and fast.

Here's a few shots.

The last shot has a new proto in the back (red) with one of the original protos in the foreground.

The originals had a shorter wheelbase, different body, etc.

Did anyone notice the mini sway bars? lol

I'm thinking I want to build one of those to keep the speed demon in me saticefied after the WK gets torn apart. What kind of axle are they running in the rear?

Compared to what I paid for a Revo, $400 is not that bad, considering this seems to be "where it's at" according to Jason.

I think the real scale test for a model is not if it looks real sitting still, but if it looks real moving, and from what I have seen, these have nailed it.

Yes, thought there would be more droop from the rear, but , it's all set up .

Looks like it could be pretty easily modified to drop the rear axle a little more - looks pretty good for the front though.

I want a decent R/C Trophy truck pretty bad. I've considered building one, but never once got around to it. Maybe its finally time.
