Default 1.9 Scale Build off

Well after asking around if there should be a 1.9 build off it turns out there are quite a few people who would be intrested in competing in a 1.9 scale build off. There will be a set of rules and if they are not followed you will be disqualified. There will be some sort of prize for the winner(s). If you have any questions feel free to ask. When the deadline comes around I will be asking all the builders to post pics and specs or their rigs. And i will be creating a poll with everybodys name on it who's truck meets all the rules and will let the community of RCC decide the winner.

Build off rules.

1. 1.9 scale wheels and tires must be used
2. The wb must be scale to the body.
3. You may enter a work in progress truck.
4.If your truck is not a running truck by the end date it will not be counted in the build off. It MUST be a fully rtr truck.
5. You may use leaf sprung, 4 link or coil over suspension setups.
6. Body should look scale, (either hard or lexan)
7. You may enter a already going project but it has to be 50% or less completed. If you want to enter a truck you already built or bought it has to be 50% different than it is now.
8.The build off starts at 12:00 am tonite
9. You must have pics and specs posted by 12:00 am Nov 25.

post up these things.
  • Any rules or rule changes you would like to see.
  • When you think the end date should be
  • And any other comments or suggestions.
Good luck to everybody.
Also all bs posts will be deleted

Prizes?

And the trucks should either be 4 linked or leafed.. Now it says only leafs.. Not all trucks have leafs..

And why a hard body? You can make a scale truck with a lexan body too.. If it was that way, All you would see is clodbusters and highlifts..>BLEH!!!

This is scale, Not off the dealership lot

These things need to be addressed, And changed...

i think the end date should be before thanksgiving day.that is about one month. thanks for giving.

also i think it should be leafs all around unless the body you are using comes with 4 link or coil overs.

Sorry Mike, I was responding to clodstall's suggestion. I noticed you had changed it earlier...

I agree with the first of the year...

I agree about the WB. The scaler that I just built has a 12.5 inch WB! There shouldn't be a limit as long as it looks scale. I'm not sure of the Wb, but I know that obijuans crewcab was really long!

I'd like to get in
But I don't like the 12" wb either.
I'm planning a Crew cab build, and I know it's more like 12.5"
I agree, wb shouldn't matter, as long as its scale to the body.
I also agree that a month is enough time. Thats what makes it a build off challenge

Those guys dedicate 12-14 hrs a day to the bike build off! I know I don't have that kind of time for my RC.

What ever the rules or time limit, I am in!

Rules are updated. Hows Nov. 25th sound? That gives us ~35 days to build.
