Default Stang killa - night flying

Tried getting some shots just after sunset...broke the prop on a good landing before I could get the camera settings decent. (first shot)

Then I took the thing behind the house to set up the camera. (second shot)

Hope to get more shots later.

First shot was a 30 second exposure at f/7.1, 200 ISO

Second shot was 13 second exposure at f/7.1, but with an 800 ISO

Thats cool Ive tried that a few times but it all ways looks like crap. I guess Ive been setting the shutter speed to slow for the ammount of movement I was trying to pull off. Ill have to try it again.

thanks JIA! get me some clear pics too. love the ones you took, very cool and artistic to boot, but id like some short exposure/crisp plane shots to show pops. he likes to night fly his CX2, he put tail and top strobes on it and a nose flood. works well and looks scale.

btw the balsa profile looks sweet. what you running for electronics?
and what brand of rope lites are those? what are they powered by?

It's (very) difficult to get clear night shots of a plane in motion without a blur. Daytime shots...no problem.

Here's a shot of my buddy Louis with his Quique Yak.

Quique with his 120" Yak...

those are nice. the planes aren't bad either. i guess i didn't see the planes the first time i read that thread. but those are all static. i was more impressed with the fact that he had one of those behemoths hovering like that.

No, thinking about a flickr account, though.

Rodney has been on my ass to create one.

I had all my shots stored on my personal website but killed it 'cause I never updated it.
