Default Son of a $%@^*!!!

Just about an hour ago I went outside to bash the WK around and I took the body off to flip the power switch and, SNAP! The tiny ass little power switch broke right off. So I spent 45min wiring up a new push button switch. What a friggen PITA.

How many others have broken the stock switch?

LMAO - When screwing around yesterday I though I had melted it as it wouldn't move after sitting for over 10min ..... but I meant, that switch is soo small, and with what little pressure it takes to slide it, it broke. Piece of shat. I can't wait to tear this thing apart. I won't do it untill I have most if not all of my parts ready.

At the Midwest nats just as I went to turn it on for course #3 the positive broke. I ripped the whole switch off, pulled out my knife, stripped the wire, and twisted them together.

lol - And I actually spend the time to solder wires together for a switch.

I'm actually thinking of dropping $40 on a new ESC, maybe a Duratrax. Might not be the best, but I bet I'd get better reception and control.

Just about anything is better then the wheely ESC. One of the most underrated pieces of crap ever.

As far a switches go I just cut them off. No sense in having them.

So there isn't a problem hard wiring the ESC?

Yeah I wrap the two wires together or use my soldering iron to bridge the terminals on the board.

No problem, you just have to unplug the battery everytime you want to shut it off. Considering I usually shut the truck off when the battery is dead it's really not a problem.

I just can't stand the switch banging around loose. I could zip tie it but it just looks like hack. The switch always manages to turn itself off at the worst possible times like during a comp. Way I see it, it's just one less thing to go wrong.

I put my old wheely king ESC in my micro rs4, I was wiring it with new wire so while I had it opened up and the soldering iron on, I hard wired it on the board and completely got rid of the wires.
