Default Car Show Pictures (With pictures of 3 Full Size Scorpions!!) 56k WARNING

Got a bunch of pictures of the Cops and Rodders car show that was in Tucson on the 11-10-07. The pictures of the red '64 Chevelle Malibu is my dad's car. Also included are a bunch of pictures of 3 full sized Scorpion Rock Crawlers, one of which competed in the Darpa Challenge in 2005 and 2007. Also there are a bunch of pictures of random cars.

Enjoy!

Every time he hits the gas, everyone in the vicinity gets flipped the bird-

Scorpions!!!!

And here is the one that competed in Darpa! Its basically a very large version of out RC crawlers, as this one is RC as well.--

Well, thats it. I hope you all liked the photo's. I would post more, but I took over 1000 pictures on my camera, and I think if I posted that many, some peoples computer might crash. Anyway, ENJOY!

I totally agree about those tires. I was talkin to the guy who owned one of them, and he said he used bigger tires when he went on the trail with it. He said that those smaller tires do better on the road and have less noise.

Oh and you know those Scorpions had only little 4 cylinder Cummins in them! And the guy who owned on of them said he easily had enough power and torque from that little engine to go up the most insane grades on trail.

Unfortunately, no. It left after the cruise around the park, so I was unable to get more pictures. Trust me, if I could have, I would have.

Dwaine and Sonni are still at it with those Scorpions?

I thought the lawyers had fixed that.

I know a great deal about the history of those rigs...not just Dwaine, Sonni, and Heath, but the entire story as to how those rigs ended up where they are and who's been taken for money along the way.

Preferred is based out of Tuscon.

The cars were originally built in Arkansas.

There's been a legal battle going on over those for a good, long while now.

I was actually referring to the axles. As for the engine, they were probably using the 4B, which was used in a number of commercial applications, mainly vans.

Just real quick-If the one Scorpion did compete in the DARPA challenge, then it wasn't RC, it was autonomous. They were only allowed a radio control as a backup system if the sensors failed to navigate the truck by itself. If it was needed, it would have been operated by someone using a computer in a manned chase vehicle. But cool none the less!

Well, SAME THING!!!! I meant that its basically a big version of our trucks in that you cant really sit in it, and it is driven indirectly by people or programming, from either remote or autonomous.
