Get a Mac, then install Virtual PC for Mac, get the best of both worlds.

Just noticed it's not free, although Virtual PC for PCs is free.

Get a Mac, then get BootCAMP from Apple. Allows you to boot into Windows or Mac. Not that Windows is very useful anoymore to me. My next PC is a MAC for sure. Then this box becomes Linux only.

At my employer, the people that work on PC's bill out at about $45 or so an hour. The people that work on Mac's? We bill out at $150 an hour! ;-)

Mind you there's almost 20 PC's for every Mac in the place, but...

Me? I've been a Mac user since 1984, but I use Mac's and PeeCee's together all day long. If I had to choose just one though, hands down it would come from Apple.

I used to be diehard PC until I started using Macs as school. If I didn't already have a few grand in software for PC I would have switched over. My damn PC wont install new drivers anymore and I can't figure out what it wrong. I have to use a ps/2 mouse right now!

MacBook Pro"thumbsup"

Ya... I love my macs. Nice, smooth and stable. If it weren't for software I would never use a microsoft OS... EVER!!!

This debate should really be MAC vs Windows!!!!

There is nothing really wrong with a PCs hardware, ever run linux on a pc? Solid!!! No sense condemning the hardware just because the OS is a piece of crap. As far as laptops, macs are light and run a lot cooler. And the MAC OS... did I already ask if anyone runs linux ;)

I like PC's becuase i can upgrade it easy, and i have never had problems with mine. Dont get a mac if you ever want to play a game on your computer. If you just use it for net and pics then a mac is good but there is no games out for it. There is a reason that apple was almost dead before the i pod came out. And for the software that runs windows programs thats great but it will run those programs slower then what a pc will because it has to use processer power to make it work. So it comes down to if you want games or no games on your computer.

Desktop-home: FreeBSD
Desktop-work: iMac

Games on a Mac? What do you mean no games on a mac? I develop games and they work fine on my Mac computers. You must be smoking some good @*)#

Crawler Noob 11-17-2007 07:46 AM

there are no good titles out for mac, everything is for pc.

Steveakus 11-17-2007 08:02 AM

unfortunately it's PC all the way, there endless in capabilities

Mac is catching up, especially now that you can install on a pc "thumbsup"

that way we can still build ridiculous rigs and use mac, windows, linux on our custom builds.

Unless your funds are enless of course then you could have a comparable mac.

I do alot of pc repair, custom builds, and trust me when I say that you can not build a comparable mac for anywhere near the same amount of $$.

I dont know of any mac's that someone like me can afford that has 2 dual core AMD processors and 8 gigs of ram running 6 monitors and plowing through all my 3D and video rendering like a freight train."thumbsup"
