Default cool or not cool

A friend of my step dad's gave us a brand new coleman roof rack. it was meant for a 4runner but we figured we could find another use for it. We tried it on my step dads rhino over the bed, to big, then we were thinking it might look cool on the roof of my Tacoma. So we sat it up there and took some pictures. I have to see if they would even make mounts to attached it, but before I go through the trouble of doing so I wanted to see what you guys thought 1st. I am trying to get away from my trucks original mall crawler look and actually wheel it some more, so with my tax return check I want to ditch the broken roll pan and get a bumper from marlin. SOooo I thought the roof rack might be cool, could mount some lights and maybe a hi-lift jack on it?

Please take a sec to vote, or leave some feedback

thanks
Mike

Slugz is just jealous, he drives a Subaru.

I think you could use a Yakima or Thule mount and crossbar setup to attach it to the truck. Looks like it is a good fit.

It looks good... but don't mount the hi-lift jack up there...

You'll end up putting it through a window or scratching up the roof when you're trying to take it down to actually use it. Don't ask me how I know...

Also, those roof racks are one of the worst things you can do for highway mileage... If you put anything in there, expect to lose 2-3mpg at highway speed. And don't get me started on the wind noise...

Wink

If you mount lights on it , it will really make it stand out and be more functional . I say go for it man. The worst thing that can happen is that YOU don't like it and you take it off .

And besides , Jeeps don't need roof racks . We strap it all to the roll cage .

Why do you need a roof rack? You have a truck for a reason.

Who care how gay it looks, the price is right. Gay looking or not, it's still functional.
I saw mount that gay thing!
