I'm not sure the exact size, but yeah - I'm pretty sure the QD (Quick Drive) line of cars are smaller. Edit: I checked TamiyaUSA, and the one they list is 1/14 scale. Last edited by Mad Scientist; 11-27-2007 at 10:46 AM. |

Tamiya QD's are their "toy" versions of a lot of their popular kits. they are smaller, and the only thing truely hobby grade about them is that they use a battery pack, and they have the Tamiya name on them...

| Are you sure about that? My QD beetle used 8 rechargeable double As in the car, and I think 9 volt in the remote.

Yeah, the MB QD is pretty tiny. You might be able to get away with 1.9's under it, but it's nowhere near as big as the 1/10 MB.

Hmmm ... I had a Midnight Pumpkin QD in like Grade 5 or something and from what I remember, it took 8 AA batteries in the truck and 8 AA batt's in the transmitter. I managed to wear down the motor in about a week... hehe. It was good for doing wheelies tho EDIT: I might even have it buried still in the basement .... LOL! If it is even there and I remember to, I could snap some pics for ya. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/car.asp?id=107 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_m...11279&sid=1015 - LOL that is exactly what I had..
