Pretty much, the only difference is a turbo will spool up and down, where as the Belt driven Supercharger in mad max was able to turn on and off at the touch of a plunger style switch. Even though most of us know that is impossible as a supercharger is crank driven. does anyone else remember that? I was like ten and looked at my dad, an old school mechanic/ street racer like "dat isn't right is it?" He laughed as hard as he ever has around me, and thats when he knew I was going to turn out as an ok mechanic...broke his heart and started getting into trucks though. Got to love movie magic brings the family together.
