| Big Lots, of all places
I ended up in my local Big Lots yesterday to pick up some Christmas wrapping paper, and saw that they had a whole bunch of 1/6 scale RC trucks on sale for $40 each. I already have a 1/6 body waiting for a build, so I didn't buy one, but they had a decent selection and were very scale. They also had some 1:10, but the bodies weren't as scale looking. I did pick up a nice 1:10 flat fender Jeep body on a cheap friction drive toy that will make a nice tuber front end though. It was only $10 and is equipped with a scale air tank and jerry can as well. |

It's short wheelbase (like a 1:1 flatfender), but with a little stretch and a tube frame, I think it will look sweet and be fairly capable as well. Have to get rid of the cheesy stickers and repaint of course. I'll probably use some 1.9 Rock Crushers, which I already have on order... http://s244.photobucket.com/albums/g...t=P1020022.jpg http://s244.photobucket.com/albums/g...t=P1020023.jpg Windshield is already hinged too. |
