Default Winter RC Pics inside...

Here you go kids. This is the Blizzard Electric version. They are a blast to run in the snow. The power add ons are a must. I will warn you though, too much power and the turning gets really wicked. When you add too much power (ie...Mamba Max 7700) and hit the steering controls the one track gets SO much power it digs into the snow too fast and you get stuck. Believe me go with a mild mod Speed Gem motor with good batteries and you will really like it. Blah blah here are the pictures.

Setup as photographed...
Novak Crawler Brushless system
4600 6 cell
Hitec 645
Kyosho Blizzard EP -box stock

Here is some other winter time fun. This is a New Bright Skidoo snowmobile with Proline's Stunt Steve hangin on. This was a fun one to do. Easy and simple, only minor dremel work. Anyone know a guy to paint Steve up for me?

Does that Blizzard run 2 motors or just one? And if just one, how does the skid steer thing work? I would like to see a picture of the inner workings of that...

I believe it runs off of one motor. Picture a motor sending power to a differential. On the output side of the differential there are disk brakes. Depending on which way you want to turn, that brake locks up sending power to only one track. I hope that makes sense!

Very nice pictures. I'd like to pick up the new bright snowmobile and maybe do a little modification to it

This Blizzard is a single motor. The dual motor setup was the original version. Those go for big bucks and not needed in my experience. There is a reason Kyosho went away from a dual motor setup. I am guessing it was a pain in the butt to keep 2 motors running exactly the same speed. The single motor setup is the way to go. Like I said I would install a 15 turn mod (speed Gem's are reasonable $) and an AI waterproof ESC. The turning is done with a mild servo as well (Hitec 645). I have tried mine in the grass and some dirt. I have plenty of summer toys so I consider these for winter only. Plus with the snow it is always clean!

I will take some underbody shots soon. Other wise you can search google to see it sooner.

Where are the mandatory flex shots?

I love the Blizzard...man between that and the new Re-release Hi-Lux I'm stumped.

Hey BigBaller,

What motor and speed control you using in your Blizzard now? What kind of runtimes you getting? And what gearing you using?
