Default Heads up: carrying batteries on an airplane

http://tech.yahoo.com/news//ap/20071...tteries_travel

Don't know if you guys have seen this before but it's not looking good. Basically it severely limits your ability to bring lithium batteries on an airplane. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

I thought that a lipo was in the lithium family kinda. I'm still back in the 90's NIMH all the way, lol.

Lipo's are lithium based - ("Lipo" = Lithium Polymer)

That article says lithium batteries, but then specifies non-rechargeable cells. The concern is people throwing a bunch of loose cells in a bag, possibly causing a short.

I say keep one in your truck, and take a couple spares in seperate baggies. If they ask about them, show that there are proper connectors on them that prevent a possible short.
