This is a great idea! I admit I rarely visit the vendor forums but thats going to change......I saw products and vendors on the polls that I didn't know were on RCC

other than the fact that its the first mass produced crawler, there is nothing special about it. It has helped expand this hobby, but from a tech standpoint, it doesn't use anything that we haven't seen before That's why of got my vote for product of the year; not most innovative. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the PTI goliath GRC the first mass produced crawler. I had a GRC way before the ax-10 came out. I'm just curious. I know the Goliath isn't near the quality of the scorpion but it is still a good rig.

The Mamba Max is leading the electronics poll, however it's been around for quite some time. Shouldn't the year of 2007 electronics only pertain to items released in the year 2007? Also, shouldn't the year of 2007 electronics only pertain to crawler specific items? Not cross over items that effect all facets of RC? With all the problems Novak is having with there ESC's they barely deserve an honorable mention (IMO). |

The AX10 brought a 10 times better/more competitive package first try, and it is a lot more crawler specific. It has a lot of innovative ideas quietly mixed into it. Not having to lock the diffs or tranny was a first, the monster bearings supporting the outer axles, ring gears, and tranny outputs are innovative IMO. The tranny is the smallest available that I've seen, just to name a couple. On another note the "Tire of the year" vote is closer then I thought it would be.

Shouldn't the RC4WD R2D be in the innovative section? It was the first transmission to offer this feature. Everybody had to custom make their own dig, but now RC4WD came up with a way to mass produce them so anybody could have one. Isn't that innovative?
