NO, The damn defroster crapped out at the wrong time I tell you..!!!!

... ( Yes, Mississippirocs is right- it was like 12 degrees outside when I was wheelin, and the ESC got hot, causing the windows to fog up-- It looked pretty cool though..!!!! LOL.. )

Woke up early this morning, loaded and gassed up the Jeep, and met up with my buds to hit the trails.. This pic is during the "air down"

Here is my buddies mostly stock YJ with the 32" Swampers.. He wanted to take it easy on his rig, so for some of the rougher stuff, he rode with me ..

And Here is the "Beast".. This bad boy has a ramjet 502, is fully locked front and rear, has an 8" lift, custom narrowed Chevy 3/4 ton axles with 5:72 gears, and is ridin' on 38" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. Basically, point this truck in whatever direction you want to go, and throttle down, and c-ya on the other side..

Heres my YJ, with that damn defroster acting up ......again...

The BEAST Blastin' thru a deep drift....

Here we came to a small hill, and saw who could make it to the top first.... Guess who WON..!!!!!! ( Barely saw out the windshield though... gotta fix that.. LOL..!!)

Here is the 3 of us winding deep thru the woods.. The drifts are really deep in some spots out here..!!!!!!! Good thing we got our winches and shovels..!!

We were having an AWESOME, yet mostly "uneventful" time blasting thru the snow, and challenging our driving skills at every hill, and then we turned this pretty sharp corner at the top of a steep incline, and thats when the situation got SERIOUS, pretty quick-- THIS is what we found, down in the ravine........: shock:

Evidently the guy that was driving this Chevy pick-up, was making the turn seemingly a little too fast , lost control, and went over the edge, rolling the truck 4-1/2 times, spilling the beds contents, breaking the front tire off, shearing off the rollbar lights ( and thier wires..) tearing off the bed box, nearly tearing the front bumper off and putting the fan blades thru the radiator, spilling the engines anti-freeze ALL over the ground..!:s
hock:

We made our way down into the ravine with the Jeeps to where this poor guy was. He was still pretty shaken up, but was in ALOT better shape than his rig... after checking out the situation we offered to help him get what was left of his truck back up to the trail, the best we could...

After re-aligning the "Beast" into a better recovery position, out came the winch cable, and we started uprighting his rig..

Once the winch cable tightened, the truck slowly lurched over, and came crashing back down on all 4's.. ( well all 3's..) then we cleaned up the carnage and the guys belongings( including the anti-freeze )

Then we moved the Beast back onto the trail and winched the Chevy back to the top....

After getting his heap back up, dosen't it figure that my YJ can't make it back to the top under its own power.... SO, the winch cable got hooked to my bumper, and I was pulled back up to the trail...

Heres the "Savior" of the day, the Beasts WARN winch..!!!!! We couldn't just leave the guy stranded there without helping him.., thats rule one of any true wheeler..!!

After our little unexpected "delay" we continued down the trail, But I really wanted to drive the Big-block powered YJ, so my buddy and I switched keys, and rigs, and off we went..!!!

So, after all the slow going with the Chevy recovery.., My right foot got the best of me behind the wheel, and the Big block ROARED to life, out in an open dirt field....

Ok, well, evidently I got a little OVER excited with the Throttle, and stood the Beast up on 2 wheels.. Fortunately, a quick response with the steering wheel averted this from being DISASTER number 2 for the day..!!!! Whew..!! That was a close one..!!!

After that, we decided to stop pushin' our luck, call it a day, packed up, and headed back home, until next time....... STAY TUNED..!!!!
