Default 08 Predictions

So what are your predictions for crawling in 08?

I predict at least 2 more manufactures will release crawler kits in 08, Losi and HPI are my guess.

I predict Pro Line's new tire will be the new bench mark (As well as the Losi Claws work, this is a bold prediction IMO!)

I predict that sausage will be the next bacon in 08.

"Thanks for your PM. Right now there are no plans to produce a rock crawler. I was lucky to get them to let me do a tire, let alone a body. I'm still trying to convince them that the R/C rock Crawling is a viable market. That bad news is that even if I got th ok today, it would take a least 12 months to design, test and tool. Who knows where the market may be by then. I'll keep trying "
Thanks again,
Rich

That was a direct PM back to my bro-n-law for Rich as Losi. I would like to see another company get into the game. I was hoping for Losi, we will see.

I believe that the will be two crawlers released in spring/summer, I will go bold and predict a Traxxas basher release on July 15th. It seems to be the hot date for the past 2 years. I also believe in a new dig that is connected to the axle and pinion itself. Lasty I predict new super duty drive shafts for the Ax-10.

Oh, and bacon and a lol cat will have a mutant baby to form the ultimate thread pic.

I predict that someone will make a totally cool and over the top home crawling course.

I predict that Traxxas will actually try to make an E-Revo, but once it hit's shelves, people will open the box to see how junky it is, and realize how miserably Traxxas failed at making the E-Revo, just as they failed with every other vehicle.

I predict that the Super class just might make a big comeback in 08.

I predict that The Crawler Store will release another awesome Super chassis, something other than an updated version of the already great NN and Stick.

I also predict that a new class will emerge because the the up and coming 2.8 tire sizes (I think traxxas already sells tires that size).

I've seen that e-mail and I'm just thinking out loud.

They already have tires, wheels, body, shocks, tranny(needs a spool to replace the diff), drive shafts, ect... A simple TVP chassis, mold some axle's, add links and a few assorted pieces and you have a crawler. Pretty Much the same w/ HPI. That's why I picked them.

I totally agree. I think Super got smaller this year is because everybody was so hooked on 2.2. I think the AX-10 caused some the loss in the Super Class, but I think people will get over the 2.2 fad and go back to the big boys. I also think it will make a comeback because in the process of finding a good spot to crawl 2.2's, alot of people may have found terrain that could actually give a Super a challange. That used to be one of the main rants about Supers on here, is that no one could find a spot to really challenge them.

Super Class started dying out back when TLTs were the "big thing" around here......................LONG before the AX-10.

They may make a comeback, but I still think it is easier to find suitable courses for 2.2 more so than Super, and 2.2 will continue to dominate for some time.

And why would a new class come out of 2.8" wheels when Maxx size is so close?

Well, I didnt think about the TLT thing. Guess your right there.

And I was thinking about a 2.8'' wheel with 14'' or 14.5'' wheelbase class. Just seems like it could come out as a new class.

In process of working on mine. (It'll work around my Freestyle/18th Scale Track, and will have a rock racing course as well).

I predict.. well.. I dunno. I do see more crawler kits being released by bigger manufacturers. As soon as one gets in, another will most likely follow.

Close,
3.2 wheels with 14'' Wb class.
I predict a new XL size tire so when we can officially send the Moab Xl to it's grave.
I hope there will be more crawler spec electronic products on the market.
I also predict more stupid n00bs giving RCC grief.:-(

Personally, I think Moabs suck... they just dont seem to hook up at all. So as far as putting it to its grave, I am 100% with ya there.

Flat white will be the new flat black.

Skipping down the street will be cool again.

Naked night crawling will be the rage.

666 might get laid.
