It feels like Christmas all over again, wondering and waiting! I want it now! I've already got a foot of snow and we're supposed to get about another foot this weekend, it would really come in handy right now! but for those manufacturers... I would love to see a 1/24 rig, more 1.9 wheels and some more hard bodies. thanks

I would really like one. I think going 1:18 has its advantages such as, there are already many 1:18 vehicles (such as the mini-t vandetta mini lst (makes you wonder why there is no mini maxx, but that is beside the point)) which makes some parts are already available. But on the other hand, as someone stated above, when you run a 1:18 axle it ends up being almost as big as a 1:10 in the end, so why not just go all the way and make something different? I would much rather run something around 1:24 since there are a lot more places inside where it could be ran, and using model bodies would be kick arse. Thats my $0.10.

| I would have to agree. A 1/18th scale crawler may be a little too close to 1/10th scale and and be thrown into the mix with the larger rigs. I think with Axial, TLT and Wheely King axles currently readily available for 2.2 rigs, I don't think bringing to the table another brand would have the success and popularity that a smaller and more true to scale micro crawler would get. Unless the 2.2 axle offered something far and beyond what is currently out there. [SIZE=2]A true micro or mini crawler, I believe would be much more successful and wanted if it was sized closer to 1/24 scale. There needs to be a large separation between a mini crawler and the 2.2 rigs or they will become one. The mini/micro crawler needs to be small enough to run on a table top type platform. I would love to see something that you could use Model bodies with. That would be perfect sized in my opinion.

| I know going smaller in RC doesn't equate to lower retail cost, but $220 is too high. No way a 1/24 scale will be as successful at that price. In my opinion for something to sell big with the masses, $150 ~ 160 is the range to be at. AND it needs to be 2.4GHz. The technology is already there, so no need to bring out something in 27 MHz. At the very least, with 2.4GHz, you can provide the RTR truck and offer the transmitter separately. Last edited by John; 02-04-2008 at 11:44 AM. |

| micro is the way to go
You guys need to check out "Scale4x4RC.US", then click on the micro trucks forum. I agree with the 1/28th/ 1/24th idea. Model bodys work great for scale builds, you can have any truck you would like. I have a xmod that is not scale but will crawl over anything it can get a tire on. It is a blast when the winter gets to cold to go out. Xmods have there problems (junk electronics) but for close range they are not that bad. If we had a good platform to start from or even a complete truck we could have alot of fun. I have chosen xmods for the cheap start up cost and the fact that I have worked with them for a while. I have done all the required mods and am very pleased with the results.

$150 to $160 is still too high for 1/24th scale. I wouldn't pay that much for one. It HAS to be $100 or less, RTR. | |

I am in for 1/24th, it's a great idea. It would open an entire new line of vendors, You can already get detail parts for model bodies that blow anything available for 1/10 out of the water. Imagine the incredible detail possible in 1/24th. My mind is already spinning.
