So rock racing looks pretty interesting. I don't have enough patience for rock crawling lol. Would it be wrong to say the main objective of rock racing is no matter what you want your truck to be able to stay on all fours. Does that mean heavier is better correct? Bare with me I am really newbie lol.

Looks really good Grizz, I'm really wishing that I could make it this weekend. Next time for sure.

Just like any form of racing yes you want to stay on your wheels, but to heavy will cause issues too. From what I heard about the courses, there are sections where you will need some speed to clear some jumps, too heavy will/can cause problems. Also heavy usually means slower, the lighter the rig, the faster it can go, also it will have more agility, and lessen the chance of damage when you do crash. In rock racing, I feel there are larger trade offs compared to other forms of off road racing. Not only do you have to be able to go some what fast, your still going to have to be able to negotiate and crawl the rocks.

So is anyone coming? This has been up for a month... with about 20 people saying they are coming. Now no one?
I have spent 20+ hours working on this because you guys were gung ho,
If know no one is there this (at least from me) will not be persued for another year.
Its up to you guys if we will have this fun event become a series...

On another note I have spent the last 5 hours out at the course location grooming shaping and testing all the jumps, berms and dirt sections. Every jump is hitting awesome and the berms are fast.
I will be out there and ready to rock for our 10 am start tomorrow.

I'm in Idaho right now, but, I'm building a rock racer next. Just need a little more time to get a chassis and all the parts together.

I will be there!!!!! Not sure how long my rig will run, I think I geared it too high, the motor I'm using is freaking hot. I will bring my old Slash motor also.

Just finished building and will be there in the am.
Plans fell through for being out of town so I started building around 10:00 pm.
Hope it works!
