Top Truck Challenge

Im not sure if you guys know this but, there is a slash track at th Church of All Nations on Powers and Dublin in Colorado Springs. I spoke to the owner of the track and he told me that if any of us wanted to come out and build a crawler course we would be more than welcome to. Its got power and water near it. Not to mention almost 4 acres of build space!

now here is what im thinking wou be cool, We could build an RC top truck challenge course! http://www.fourwheeler.com/eventcove...tank_trap.html
We could have Frame Twister,Mud Pit,Hill Climb,Rubicon, and the scariest of them all... Tank Trap

I think it would be cool to have a place were we can build whatever we want! and it woul be cool to see some Top Truck style rigs being built!

Just a suggestion so lemme know what you think! "thumbsup"

It would be cool to see a place that had one set up all the time. We had a TTC in the spring at finishline it was pretty entertaining."thumbsup"

I havent dealt much with the TTC stuff on here, havent read much about it either,,is the TTC's comp for scalers only??? or could you use a comp rig with a scale body on it?

bmx_ican92 11-27-2009 02:24 PM

mostly scalers, a 2.2 or 1.9 comp rig would zoom through it lol

And Kronik, you can ride in my car :) were practically nieghbors

I am implementing the top truck challenge courses to be a full time gig here VERY soon...last years was just too much fun, and I havent even taken the mud off my truck yet!!

bmx_ican92 11-28-2009 02:03 PM

that would be great!!!! And sure anyone can run the course!!! Do you have indoor room? an indoor one would be so AWESOME. Im gonna start on the designs and post them up soon, get some opinions before i start to dig

Ok So the events in the real Top Truck Challenge are as follows-

Truck Pull: Pulling weight with your rig
http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/27024...ge+sheeley.jpg
Frame Twister: Crawler course with strategically placed mud holes, a small mud bog with logs in it

http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/31224...+kahlstrom.jpg
http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/25859...enge+green.jpg

The Mud Pit: Just what it says "thumbsup" Better waterproof
http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/25859...nge+jerome.jpg

Obstacle Course: A Huge steep hill into a a muddy crawler course with 2 S-turns
http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/25859...e+williams.jpg

Hill Climb: This is going to be tough because the area we want to build at is generally flat
http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/25859...+kahlstrom.jpg

Mini Rubicon: No mud, No hills, JUST ROCKS
http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/27024...ge+eulberg.jpg

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST................................. Drum roll

TANK TRAP
The most dificult part of the whole event, Mixing crawling, bogging, hill climb and prescision driving all in one very tight off camber trail
