Default New crawl spot

Here are some pics of a new crawl spot I found near Johnson Village. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but I made it there even with snow on the ground.

It is right off of Hwy 285.

Not sure where it is from there but I'd guess 1.5 hrs or so not too bad

If you are coming down 285 from Denver, the turn off is right before Johnson Village. there is an overlook on the right side of the road. I believe it is the Collegiate peaks overlook. pass the overlook (fee area) and follow the road for a mile or so. the road comes to an intersection with a parking lot and sign with maps. Look for forest service road 376A. I followed it for a while before finding the rocks. if you keep going on 376A it will eventually connect back to 285. there are lots more places to crawl around the area, but they are covered in snow. it is also about 10 minutes from Carnage Gulch

I just came brought there today on my way back from Monarch. That whole area is like that with granite. Any 1:1 crawlers know that area for Chinaman's Gulch and Carnage.

If u get a map of the area, it shows how to get to those 2 trails. Look for Rd. 301 closer to Johnson Village by the river. If u go down that road, there are signs to Chinaman's gulch and Carnage. If u go all the way to Ruby Mtn. Rec site, there is more crawling there.

OK, I went back to this spot and this time went about 50 feet past the parking lot and there is a killer spot to crawl. It is a mile off the highway, takes about 5 minutes to get there, and there is plenty of parking and camping spots. The rocks look good, too. Here are some pics.
