| Um, rudder is front steering, aileron rear steer, throttle is front motor and elevator is rear motor. Rudder dual rate switch activates mix 1, which is the rear motor slaved at 100%. The gear switch is mix 2, rear motor slaved at 80%. I'm running whatever recievr came with the DX6i, AR6100 I think. |

| I've spent about the same amount of time running a mix as independent. I like the mix for fast driving between gates, but for wicked hard lines the independent is where it's at.

You can do the same things in mix, it's all it the feel. Plus you don't have to worry about accidental reverses. Easy throttle left, steering right!

Patrick can you steer both front and rear using just the right stick, independently? I have mine set up just like Casey, been trying to figure out how you can control independent throttle and steering using just left stick for throttle and right stick for steering...

| Cool, thanks I'm going to have to try that. I want to use this for my 2.2 as well. So, if you are turing the front end, you can go up or down at the same time to turn the rear the way you want, right? Sounds like a more simple way to run it. |

So tell me twin stickers... If you ran a go-fast on a stick, would you run your steering and throttle on the same gimbal? That would be tricky I would think...

Thanks for starting / moving this into it's own thread. I was really having issues running one stick to throttle / steer on the 2.2 Your way make a lot of sense, I can't wait to try it. |

Patrick let me try his rig a very long time ago...and it was easier the more time you spent with it. Like anything practice until it is natural, and everything is a reaction instead of a long thought out process. The JIA mix is where it is at. Been running Slim this way for the last month and feeling confident with what is happening. I'm sure it'll be different with gates down and a scorekeeper and the hecklers |

Same for the steering, left/right is front steering and up and down is rear. Now that I just typed that out, it makes way more sense to drive that way, maybe I'll change it over if I have time this week. Thanks for moving this Patrick

This was JIA's setup: My setup is an A14 mix at 100% programmed to a (elevator dual rate) switch where I can turn the mix on or off. Throttle channel is rear axle throttle Rudder channel is front axle throttle Front steer is ailerons Rear steer is elevator If I want a front dig I just move the throttle stick dead left with the mix on. Tthis drives the front only and the rear drag brake holds things in place. For a rear dig I turn the mix off and move the throttle stick forward. Drag brake on the front holds the front in place and the rear pushes...I can make the truck pivot on a front tire. Both ESCs are programmed for 100% drag brake. |
