| Another delrin/acetal tube question
Hey all I did search and the place listed (regal plastics) is closed I tried S & S and they only carry rod. So the question... Does anyone here use delrin tube and where do you buy it I'll try regal tomorrow after they are open. I lack a nice work space using the laundry room currently as my fab spot and the wife is getting sick of aluminum shavings in the dryer so I'm hoping to find tube to sleeve some all-thread with rather than having to drill and tap some rod for links and make more of a mess thanks gordie |

Not sure if everyone knows about this place.....they used to be in Boulder but just moved to Louisville. Every 4th Friday of the month they have a sale for their remnants bin. I don't know if they have tube (I'm sure they could get it), but I picked up three 12' pieces of 1/4" black rod for next to nothing during their moving sale. http://www.coloradoplastics.com/ EDIT: I stopped by there yesterday morning, and they do not have Delrin tube. I work for AIA, we do not stock any tubes worth using. Unfortunately, you are going to find that nobody locally is going to have this stuff. We ( or anyone else for that matter ) can get it but there is going to be a minimum order required ..... usually not worth it. You could try Port Plastics, 303-371-5000. It is possible they have some stuff laying around but not certain. | |
