| Im getting a Scaler!!!!
woo hoo well until i get the tracer in my hands im getting one of those axial honchos in about a week........any suggestions on a quality winch or a good build thread? i can build everything else easily......was also going to put a havok speed controler and 21.5 brushless in it.....bad idea? not sure if i can make the drag brake strong enough to hold it...my setup says i can get 27% drag brake......

Brushless? ehh idk about that... but for the honcho you can build a servo winch or just get a 3racing winch

^^ +1 on the servo winch or 3racing Alot of people like Novak stuff but I'd reccomend Castle Creations. I run a sidewinder in all of my rigs (soon to have a Mamba Max Pro in my losi) If you already have the novak stuff laying around then sure, throw it in, but don't buy a new one |

Brushless is no good with water unless you are running sensorless. Sensorless=cogging in most cases. I prefer the Tekin FXR with a brushed motor due to size and than I can easily tuck it in a waterproof box with my receiver, BEC, light module, and winch electronics. Scalers are addictive for sure. Cant wait to see what type of customizing yo do. Congrats |

look forward to seeing some sort of build thread I'm itchin for a scaler too....just found one of them new bright jeeps today on sale so I bought it. It'll be sitting for awhile until I can afford to do a build...also not sure If I wanna do a Jeep. I really am liking the Hilux scalers but these new bright jeeps are very cool. |
