Default Summer Scale Series

I have picked the dates for the Colorado Scale Series.

The dates are set, but if there are any major issues let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Also with the work environment that we are all experiencing some dates could change as I'm on call for work right now every 8 weeks, but that schedule could change with layoffs or hires. If a date gets changed I will post up as soon as possible and let you all know what dates are going to have to change.

I'm hoping to have the series party from last season in April, but it may be in May do to the weather. I envision that comp to be a camping trip in Buffalo Creek and hope all that pitched in for it will be able to stay up there for the weekend. If the weather looks bad for camping, we can switch Buffalo Creek with Coal Creek.

I also left a pretty big gap between the May and June comps for those that are planning on going to the MSD Scale Nats.

This will again be a free series and will be doing the donation for a party if everyone like that idea. We could have the this series party in August or September depending on what everyone wants to do.

Check/tech in will be a 9:00 am.

With the growth of scale series, I will be needing help setting up courses and judging, that way we're all not standing around as much like the last few scale events.

1) March 28th
Lutz

2) April 24th/25th (Saturday) Series 1 Pay back party camping trip
Buffalo Creek?

3) May 23nd
Coal Creek

4) June 27th
Johny's Park

5) July 25th
Mt. Evans

6) August 14th
location Buffalo Creek
Series Finals and donation payback event!

Dates added to calendar, except, I assume you meant July 18th, (Sun) rather than July 15th (Thurs).

Are we using the same format from the last series? (Drop lowest score)
I'll be gone for the April event, but I should hopefully have the Dodge back together for the end of the month.

Also, just throwing this out there, but what about joining the GJ guys in moab for the comp on July 18th?
I know a lot of guys may not want to drive that far, but if we plan early, carpool, head up saturday?... maybe?

Yea that was an error and I will have to move the July date to the 11th.

Thanks for adding the dates to the Event Calendar.

Same format as last series, lowest score gets dropped.

I'd be all for going to GJ for the Little Moab event, but looks like Rocas Rojo will be that weekend and I'm planning to attend that event again this year! I know that James was planning on making this event again too, not sure how set in stone that event is. If they change the date for a different weekend I would really like to make it to one of there events!

Would be good to see you again with a scaler! Hope that you have a TX in hand but if not either way it'll be a good time!

Ok now you tell me! I was sure that was going to happen, just didn't know how many conflicts I would have.

I am not quite sure what Steve was thinking when he put the date for Moab on the same weekend of the Red Rocks :?. If that date changes, I will do my best to let everyone know . We has a blast last year in Moab. If it looks like some of the Denver area guys would like to join us, I will work on changing the Date . Just send me a PM or post up in our thread.

And yes I will be at Red Rock .

Any plans to run a date at Palmer? I know it's a drive for you Denver guys but I'd really like to try my hand at one of these scale comps. Just have trouble making it to Denver with my job.

I guess it's possible. I'll see at the first event what other locations everyone wants to go. It would be up to everyone if they wanted to drive down there for an event. Last season, there was almost no interest in going down there.

All the dates work, but the second one for me. Was going to be the 28th but we moved our trip to the weekend of April 17th, oh well that will be the one I'll have to drop. Can't wait to get started!

Understandable. If it does make it down here I'll be there.

I had to change the date due to work "on call" for the month of July. It was on the 11th so I moved it to the 25th

If it works better for everyone we can move that event to the 25th of April. That is the one that I would like to have as many people that were part of the first series come and be part of. It's the one where well spend the money that was donated to the party fund. If we move it back a couple weeks it may also help with the weather being warmer for camping.

It may, just not sure what everyone thinks about the drive down there.

That would be awesome Todd, as long as it works for everyone else.

On a side note, got the 1.9 running this weekend. Now it just needs the finish work. And also got my new 2.2 body from RPP today, need to do some serious tube work this week!

As long as I don't get a bunch of guys saying that wont work. I'll change it to the 28th.

I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with for yourself. I got to see Ty's and Rodney's new rigs this weekend, they looked good!
