I would also be able to help out if needed with the events and such. I have never gone to any crawlin events so I would be very excited to do what i can.

We got together today to go over some stuff as we get closer to the weekend.

there will be NO COMP TIRES ALLOWED. (boss claws,rovers,rock/comp claws, ect)

as far as the plastic bumpers and sliders being takein off, that will not be allowed. if it came with the honcho it must be on. inless the scale aperance is still there. we were not trying to have guys ripping the bumpers and sliders off there trucks, just trying to even the field with the heavier trucks.

I do too!
This is something that some of us have wanted to address in the Scale Series. I think something like this is what we need to do.

Are Chisels considered comp tires? I know I know, but thats what I run!!

Cougars? Does anyone comp with them anymore?

How about Pitbulls?

How deep of water are we talking?

Are we going to need our own light?

Not to be a nudge, but Pit bull does advertise their tire as a competition tire, the type of competition is not specified, but neither is it on some rovers.

So perhaps the best way to handle this is to create a short list of the tires that are considered scale for this particular event.

So just for example,
pro line mashers
HPi rock grabbers
rc4wd (anything but X locks really)
Proline flat irons
pitbulls (?)
etc.

How deep will the water be? 6"? 12"?
Will my whole rig be getting submerged or will we be running in hood deep (6") water/mud? Spektrum radios tend to not work when the RX is underwater so it would be nice to know if I should extend my antennae up or if I can leave it in the waterproof box.

RC4WD lists the Rok Lox as a 2.2 Comp Tire; not a 2.2 Scale Tire like they do with 2.2 Rock & Die Scale Tires.

I do think a list of approved tires is needed but then again, the event is 2 days away. That's what we have message boards for, to ask questions.

I will stay around 5-6in. maybe around 8-9in in the last hole but it will be full of rocks on the bottom. that will be mud/water tho, not just water.

-COMP TIRES NOT ALLOWED-
-rovers
-panthers
-chisels
-boss claws
-x-locks
-sedonas
-Losi rock/comp claws
I am sure i did not name some and if you guys have any to add, post up.

-SCALE TIRES-
-pro line mashers
-HPi rock grabbers
-rc4wd tires
-Proline flat irons
-pitbulls
-proline TSL's

Thanks Timmah!

Losi Carvers should be legal, although I don't know who has any.

Since they are based off of the same design as the pitbulls and were a terrible comp tire anyway, I too think they should fall under a more scale tire.
