the whole point of a scale truck is "scale" so why would you put all the money and time into a scaler to put non-scale tires on it? most are the same price as comp tires. you should not look at it as one comp but that you are making your rig even more to scale.

My scaler is a 1.9 it is relatively scale with flatirons. But using those tires for ttc would be stupid. Spending money on 2.2 rock locks (So i can attempt TTC) would be a waste of money, since it would look weird as a 2.2. No worries though |

Thanks for the offers, but I don't like using other people's consumable parts. Would Moabs count as a scale tire. I would think the width of those could make it better than 1.9 flat irons

I could see a moab as a scale tire I suppose, proportionally they seem to fit and they are not really a performance oriented tire, so me myself don't see any harm in it.

| I think you should be able to run Moabs. The statute of limitations has run out on them being a comp tire imo. |

As of now not looking good for me, so many parts I need, so little time. I have a rig I could run, no winch...really heavy...should I even bother? I may just show up to watch, and run supers on Sunday. Supers are like church for me. |

| As of right now all I have is a heavy rig, with no winch that can't steer. I plan to just dive it full throttle into the mud. It will be fun regardless of what you are driving.
