Default Thought for a scale trail

I recently read an article in a rc mag about "building your own scale course" and liked the thought behind it. In the article it described a course that was 3/4 of a mile long and the local club would run those course in both directions - 1 way in 1 way out kinda thing - no scoring, just the group doing the trail run.

Ive always wanted to do this but a trail of that length and effort would have to either be on some hidden location where no one would care that we were out there or private prop where we have free run.

Any thoughts on this?

I just figured it would be cool to have a dedicated "crawlerado" scale trail that we can all go to and do with out actualy competing - and have a trail that is hella long!

I know its "illegal" at garden of the gods ........but at pull off 14 I've walk (crawled) about a mile up the dried up creek bed, so a mile in, a mile out, its pretty sick up in there , not a lot of people either. You could defiantly get a crew out there, just have to be on the sneak when your first walking to the creek bed

Jason and I ran a trail about 2 miles long with the Wraiths, soon after he had a few more guys come up and run the same trail.

This is colorado, we have enough single track trails that there is always something like this to run, just grab a map.

Also the courses that were at Rocas Rojo for the scale comp had some pretty long courses with a similar scene, just had some competition to it.

The Scale adventure series that we did over the summer is also basically what you described, it wasn't really a comp, but rather a bunch of guys driving for a 45 minutes or so on whatever terrain they could find, then turning around.
