| Motor for trail trucks??
What motor is good and won't brake my pocket. Went out crawling today and I think I burned up my motor. It was smoking and smelt bad. Lol. I've got a axial trail honcho. TIA. J. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk 2 |

Are you currently running the stock motor in the Honcho? I currently run a 45 turn Tekin hand wound in my SCX10 Raisin. It's not a great motor, but is rebuildable and does the job. It might set you back a little bit, but look at Holmes Hobbies hand wound motors, they are a little more expensive, but are rebuildable and will last you quite a long time.

If not i'll head to Arvada to The Crawl Space and see what they have. Can i run a stock ESC with a aftermarket motor?? J. |

Crawl Space should have a 35t for you. He carries Holmes and Brood in the $35-40 range. Yes you can run another motor on the stock ESC. Check em out on Facebook they are usually online.

i have them on my FB, thanks. Not 100% sure if my motor is toast. It still runs. it was smoking and smelt. Drive lines are in a bind, got a lil lift. need some aluminum link that are bent so i can put the front and rear alxes tilted up more. J. |

Personally I would never purposely buy a closed can brushed motor. They are just a waste of money and are built pretty poorly. If you can make it to the crawl space bring your rig with you. You should have no problem running any brushed crawler motor with your stock ESC. Grab a Castle BEC as well and you should be good to go.
